OEL provided Project Management and Engineering work for the project’s development, permitting and construction phases, complete through to commissioning the 12” & 16” Pipeline System in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association area (AIHA).
The Heartland Pipeline consisted of a pipeline system approximately 47 kilometers long, (including laterals) between the client’s hydrogen plant in Strathcona County and a termination point north of the North Saskatchewan River.
Included in the project were multiple valve stations for above ground piping to accommodate required sectionalizing valves and to provide future expansion start points. Also noted were the numerous river and highway crossings as well as encompassed lands that include agricultural as well as light/medium/heavy industrial.
